Bhopal. Players of Madhya Pradesh State Athletics Academy have performed brilliantly and won two gold and one bronze medals in the 21st National Youth Athletics Championship-2026 held from 01 to 03 September 2026 at Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana, Punjab. Among these, Krishna Chandra achieved a special achievement by setting a new meet record in Javelin Throw and winning the gold medal.
Krishna Chandra’s new meet record in javelin throw
In the boys javelin throw event, Madhya Pradesh State Athletics Academy player Krishna Chandra won the gold medal by throwing the javelin 79.92 meters. Along with this, he also set a new meet record of the competition.
Before Krishna Chandra’s brilliant performance, the meet record of this event was 77.41 meters, which was set by Rohit Yadav in the year 2018. Krishna Chandra gave an impressive display of his talent at the national level by leaving behind the old record with a performance of 79.92 metres.
Nagar Singh Kanesh won gold in heptathlon
In the heptathlon event, academy player Nagar Singh Kanesh won the gold medal with a brilliant performance of 4812 points.
Nagar Singh achieved the top position by consistently performing well in various events of the competition and brought golden success to Madhya Pradesh.
Ranglal Dodiya won bronze in 1000 meters
In the 1000 meter event, academy player Ranglal Dodiya won the bronze medal with an excellent time of 2 minutes 26.83 seconds. Ranglal secured third place in the competition with his speed and strong performance.
Sports Minister Sarang congratulated
State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has heartily congratulated and congratulated Nagar Singh Kanesh, Krishna Chandra and Ranglal Dodiya who won gold and bronze medals in the National Youth Athletics Championship.
Expressing happiness over the excellent performance of the players and the new meet record set by Krishna Chandra, he said that this achievement of the players of Madhya Pradesh at the national level is a matter of pride for the state.
He wished the players a bright future and inspired them to perform equally well in future also.
