KNews Desk: In today's time, laptops are no longer limited to office work only. People are using laptops for many purposes like studies, online classes, programming, government work, video editing and content creation. In such a situation, while buying a new laptop, customers do not just pay attention to the price or design, but also see how fast and easily the device can do their work. The results of the second phase of Amazon's first Best in Tech Survey have revealed a picture of the changing preferences of Indian customers.
According to the survey, the processor has become the biggest priority of people while buying a laptop. That is, while choosing a new laptop, customers first want to know which CPU is given in it and how is its performance. The reason for this is also clear. The processor is considered the brain of the laptop and many important functions of the computer depend on it. With the help of faster and better processor, apps can open faster, work on files can become easier and better performance can be achieved while doing multiple tasks simultaneously. AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence has also started changing the choice of buying a laptop. 58 percent of laptop buyers surveyed expect that AI features will help in increasing their everyday productivity in the future. At the same time, 25 percent buyers want to give priority to such chips which can process AI tasks faster. This indicates that customers are now beginning to value AI capabilities along with general computing performance.
The survey also revealed that about 23 percent people are interested in the features of creating and editing content with the help of AI. At the same time, about 17 percent of the users are liking features like real-time transcription and translation. This means that in the future, while buying a laptop, AI features can also become an important decision-making factor like processor, RAM and storage. However, the choice of tablet buyers is quite different from that of laptops. According to the survey, 74 percent of tablet buyers cited display size and quality as the most important factors. In comparison, only 12 percent people considered price as their first priority, while only 9 percent buyers considered processor as the most important. It is clear from this that bigger and better screen matters more to people while buying a tablet.
The interesting thing is that Indian customers are also doing a lot of research before buying a new laptop. According to the survey, about a quarter of buyers spend more than two months researching different models and their features before making a purchase. During this, things like price, specification, review and rating are compared. That is, customers now want to choose the device according to their use instead of purchasing just by watching advertisements. Overall, Amazon's survey shows that performance is becoming the most important thing for laptop buyers and along with the processor, attention is also increasing rapidly on AI capability. In the case of tablets, display still remains the biggest attraction. Therefore, while buying a new device, it is important to compare not only the price and design, but also the processor, AI features, display and other specifications according to your use.
