The approaching start of the NFL season may be dominating the attention of the sports world, but that doesn’t mean other leagues are just twiddling their thumbs.
The Houston Rockets proved that by signing 23-year-old Amen Thompson to a five-year, $280 million contract extension.
Heading into his fourth NBA season, Thompson averaged a career-high 18.3 points with 7.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists-per-game while adding 1.5 steals. He also led the entire league in minutes played last year, racking up 2,953 over the course of 79 regular season games. He also saw an uptick in his stats in the playoffs, increasing his scoring to 19.2 points and playing a staggering 44.0 minutes-per-contest. Thompson figures to be a central part of the Rockets long-term plan, and they cemented that with this extension.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Despite playing on a team with Kevin Durant, Thompson’s 41 were actually the most in one game by a Rocket last season. With that being said, can you name the players with the most points in one game for each NBA team in 2025-26?
