Raghav Chadha Punjab Voter List : Assembly elections are to be held in Punjab next year. Earlier, the draft voter list of Punjab has been released under the SIR campaign being run by the Election Commission. Due to which the politics has heated up due to the deletion of the name of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha. Now regarding this, former Union Minister P Chidambaram has taken a dig at the MP and said that he is not the only one whose name has been removed from the voter list.

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram wrote in an ex-post on Friday, 'Yesterday I congratulated my friend Mr. Raghav Chadha on becoming a non-voting citizen of India! They are not alone. The Election Commission of India has declared entire 10 percent of India's adult population as non-voting citizens!' Earlier, after his name was removed from the voter list, Raghav Chadha had accused the state's Aam Aadmi Party government of taking vindictive action.

Raghav Chadha wrote in X Post on Thursday, 'The AAP government in Punjab has now brought the politics of revenge to the draft voter list. I am a sitting Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab and my voter ID is registered in Mohali, Punjab. Yet, my name is shown as “shifted” (ie as a person who has moved somewhere else) in the draft voter list.

He further wrote, 'The good thing is that this is only a draft voter list, not the final voter list. Corrections in names are made during the 'Claims and Objections' process, and this process is currently underway. The final voter list will be released in October 2026. I have already started the process of using the measures available under the SIR guidelines.

Rejecting the allegations of the BJP MP, AAP clarified that the process of preparing the voter list is under the Election Commission and the Punjab government has no role in it.
