ISRO EOS-05 Satellite: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully placed EOS-05 satellite in orbit. This is a major achievement for India's space program. EOS-05 is India's first imaging satellite that will operate from a geosynchronous orbit, further strengthening the country's Earth observation capability.

ISRO chief V. Narayanan in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, said about this mission, 'I am very happy to inform that the GSLV F-17 rocket has successfully and precisely placed the 'Advanced Earth Observation Satellite 05' (geo-imaging satellite) in its designated orbit (orbit)… Once the 'Earth Observation Satellite 05' starts functioning in the orbit, It will become India's first dedicated imaging satellite from geo-orbit and will provide important strategic data for our country…'

Thomas Kurian, ISRO's Mission Director for GSLV-F17, said, 'Just moments ago, GSLV-F17 successfully completed its mission and placed the EOS-05 satellite in its designated Sub-GTO orbit. This is a moment of great pride and joy for all of us. With this success, GSLV has completed its 19th mission. In this mission, EOS-05 satellite was sent, which is a special type of Earth observation satellite and is capable of doing almost real-time imaging. It is the heaviest satellite ever launched by GSLV in GTO or Sub-GTO orbit. Friends, launching takes only a few minutes, but behind those few minutes are months and years of hard work, design and analysis, manufacturing, testing and qualification review, integration and then launch operations.
