Arhaan Khan’s entry into Bollywood had brought another familiar name into the project, with Indian actor Salman Khan set to appear in a cameo role in the upcoming film.
According to a report by Bollywood HungamaSalman had been signed for a small but important part in Arhaan’s debut film. The project had been planned as an action love story and was being directed by Anirudh Iyer.
The film marked the big-screen debut of Arhaan, the son of actor-producer Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora. Salman was expected to spend around 10 days shooting for his extended cameo.
The makers had kept details about the story under wraps. The report stated that Salman’s character had been planned as an important part of the narrative and was expected to add to the film’s cast.
Ashwin Varde was set to produce the yet-untitled project. His earlier production credits had included Kabir Singh, OMG 2, Khel Khel Mein and The Diplomat.
Arhaan had spent several years preparing for his entry into films. He had studied filmmaking in the United States and later worked with Vikram Phadnis. He had also assisted Karan Johar on Rocky and Rani Kii Prem Kahani.
Apart from his work in films, Arhaan had hosted a podcast on his YouTube channel, Dumb Biryani.
A source close to the project said, “Arhaan has been preparing himself for cinema for a while.” The source added that Arhaan was happy with the project and was looking forward to starting his journey as a leading actor.
The makers had also been searching for the female lead. They were reportedly looking for a fresh face for the young romantic drama.
Shooting had been planned for early 2027, while the final schedule was expected to be decided after the remaining arrangements were completed.
For Anirudh Iyer, the project marked his second directorial film after An Action Hero, which had starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat.
Varde’s next production had also included an untitled film starring Johnny Lever and directed by Farhad Samji.
