Washington. US President Donald Trump has claimed that the US military has seriously damaged Iran's military capabilities and the ongoing war between the two countries will end soon. He said that America is constantly keeping an eye on Iran's nuclear sites and has strong control over the Strait of Hormuz.

In an interview given to GB News, Trump said that America joined this conflict because it wants to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He claimed that Iran was just two to four weeks away from producing a nuclear weapon before the US attacks. According to Trump, after the attacks on Iran's three nuclear sites, they have been completely destroyed.

Keeping an eye on nuclear sites from space

Trump said that America is keeping an eye on Iran's nuclear sites and a place called 'Pickaxe Mountain' through its space surveillance capability. He claimed that even people coming and going to these bases can be monitored from space. According to the US President, the material present at the three nuclear sites is now buried under millions of tons of debris in the mountains, which will make it extremely difficult to extract.

Europe also warned

Trump warned European countries that if Iran had nuclear weapons, it would have posed a greater threat to Europe than to America. While talking to British journalist Bev Turner, he said that America is also saving Europe from the nuclear threat of Iran.

Claim to defeat Iran's Navy and Air Force

Trump claimed that the US Army has defeated Iran's Navy and Air Force. He also said that recently Iran's radar system has been targeted. Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said that America has strong control over this area. He claimed that the US military is neutralizing 30 to 40 boats every night and yet a large amount of oil is leaking out through this route.

Claim of inflation reaching 300 percent in Iran

The US President said that Iran's economy is rapidly weakening and inflation there can reach 300 percent. However, during the interview he did not present any evidence to support this claim. Trump defended America's involvement in the war, saying that he needed to explain its purpose to American voters. He said he had made the right decision and that the damage caused to Iran's nuclear program would last for decades to come.
