UP Special TET 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the application schedule for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) 2026. The online application process for this exam will commence on September 5, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until October 4, 2026. The deadline for making corrections to the online application is October 8, while the examination is scheduled to be held on November 3, 2026.

According to Sanjay Kumar Singh, Deputy Secretary of the Selection Commission, this special examination is being conducted in light of the situation affecting a large number of teachers following the order passed on May 29, 2026, in the Supreme Court's Civil Appeal No. 1385/2025 and Review Petition Diary No. 53434/2025.

The government had issued directives on September 2, 2026, regarding the conduct of a Special Teacher Eligibility Test for teachers working at the primary and upper primary levels, as well as for special educators—specifically those associated with Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Pursuant to these directives, the Commission has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test.

**OTR Must Be Completed First**

To facilitate candidates, the Commission has implemented a One-Time Registration (OTR) system for the Special TET. Consequently, candidates must complete their OTR before applying. The Commission has clarified that candidates will be able to apply for the Special TET only after the OTR process is completed.

**Detailed Advertisement Available on the Website**

The detailed advertisement and instruction booklet have been made available by the Commission on the official website, upessc.up.gov.in. Candidates are advised to carefully read the advertisement and all instructions before applying. Candidates meeting the prescribed educational and other qualifications will be able to fill out their forms through the online application process starting on September 5.
