New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) National spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka met Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on Thursday at his office located at Janeshwar Mishra Trust. After this high level meeting which lasted for about one and a half hour, the discussions have intensified in the political circles of Uttar Pradesh. Since assembly elections are going to be held in the state next year, there are speculations about whether CJP will contest the upcoming elections in alliance with Samajwadi Party or will create an atmosphere in favor of SP by giving support from outside.

Brainstorming on student, education and youth issues

According to SP's chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary, during this long talk, important topics like youth unemployment, poor primary education and irregularities in competitive examinations would have been seriously discussed.
Congress and SP supported CJP's demonstration at Jantar Mantar. During the protest, Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav were detained by the police, against which SP workers blocked the road.

Speculations of new equation in UP politics

Amidst this political murmur, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (Subhaspa) chief OP Rajbhar took a dig at this meeting and said that now the last resort of the Samajwadi Party is only cockroaches. However, on the other hand, both Samajwadi Party and Cockroach Janata Party have termed it a normal and courtesy meeting.
According to SP spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan, Ashutosh Ranka had mainly come to express his thanks to Akhilesh Yadav for raising the issues of youth movements and students at Jantar Mantar at the national level and raising his voice to the Parliament. He clarified that SP does not want to comment on any political decision of CJP at present.

Silence maintained on future strategies

Immediately after the meeting ended, Ashutosh Ranka left from there without talking to the media. SP has also not issued any official press release on the final results of this conversation. Sources say that during the 'Fix the School' campaign in Rajasthan last month, the issue of alleged attack on Ranka was raised by Akhilesh Yadav in public forums. It is believed that both the leaders have agreed to prepare a joint strategy in the future for the interests of the students, keeping in mind the priorities of 'Gen G' and 'Gen Alpha'.
