Gurugram. Monsoon rains have once again wreaked havoc. Sudden torrential rains on Friday evening left the roads of Gurugram and Delhi-NCR in disarray. A few hours of rain disrupted life, leading to waterlogging in many major areas. At many places, two to three feet of water accumulated on the roads, due to which the movement of vehicles came to a halt and people were stuck in traffic for hours.

In Gurugram, even light rain brings traffic to a standstill, but hours of rain made the situation even more serious. Many videos have surfaced on social media, which show this situation. On Friday evening, clouds rained heavily and roads were completely submerged in many parts of the city.

Long queues of vehicles were seen moving at a snail's pace on the road. Due to this rain, the people who were returning home after working all day were most troubled by the traffic jam. After a tiring day, the traffic jam further increased their problems.

As soon as it started raining and the road was blocked, the concerned officials became active. Administrative teams reached the spot and started trying to drain water from the waterlogged places.

However, due to continuous rain, drainage efforts were not successful in many areas. A few hours of rain has raised questions on the city's drainage system.

Waterlogging was reported in areas like Connaught Place, RK Puram, ITO, AIIMS, Sangam Vihar, Mahipalpur and Kali Bari Marg. Many videos have surfaced on social media, which show the road condition. The speed of vehicles remained very slow in Dhaula Kuan area. Many places were flooded by three to four feet of water, due to which the bike riders had to face a lot of difficulties.
