Building on its longstanding mission to strengthen school education and support teachers across India, Bharti Airtel Foundation conceptualized The TeacherApp as a platform for continuous professional development aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The company announced to launch this app in November 2024. The app brings together professional learning materials, classroom-focused tools and a collaborative community, enabling teachers to adapt to changing classroom needs and raise learning outcomes for millions of students across India. Launched by the Bharti Airtel Foundation, the app is promoting teacher development in 36 states and union territories through a growing ecosystem of government and institutional partnerships. Designed with direct input from teachers, the app offers over 4,000 hours of learning materials and 45+ artificial intelligence-enabled learning tools, helping teachers to strengthen classroom practice and respond to changing needs.

Empowering Teachers Through Continuing Education Consistent with the NEP 2020 mandate of 50 hours of continuing professional development for every teacher, The TeacherApp allows teachers to flexibly complete these hours through short courses, webinars, and podcasts without leaving the classroom. Teachers can also shape their own learning path by choosing materials according to their own interests and needs, making professional development more personal and part of everyday learning life.

Building a Collaborative Ecosystem for Teacher Development The TeacherApp brings together a growing group of organizations like Pratham, Khan Academy, Katha, Latestate, Educational Initiatives (EI), CK-12 Foundation, Simple Education Foundation, Pallavan, Sarvam AI, Good School Alliance, and Central Square Foundation to jointly advance the mission of empowering teachers and strengthening the foundation of quality education for all. are This integration reflects the Forum's emphasis on making emerging technologies useful and accessible to educators in their daily work.
