Hyderabad golfer Vishesh Sharma won his maiden professional title at the INR 1 crore Telangana Golconda Masters after finishing at 21-under 259. The 19-year-old shot a final-round 69 at Hyderabad Golf Association to beat Noida’s Amardeep Malik by one stroke. Vishesh earned INR 15 lakh and moved to 14th place in the 2026 DP World PGTI Order of Merit.
Hyderabad, September 4, 2026: Local favourite Vishesh Sharma held his nerve through a dramatic final round to secure his maiden professional title at the INR 1 crore Telangana Golconda Masters at Hyderabad Golf Association.
The 19-year-old closed with a one-under 69 to finish at 21-under 259, one stroke ahead of Noida’s Amardeep Malik in the tournament’s 12th edition.
Vishesh (60-66-64-69), playing his second season on the DP World PGTI, collected INR 15 lakh. The victory lifted him from 25th to 14th on the 2026 Order of Merit, taking his season earnings to INR 30,93,550, and secured his place in the DP World India Championship.
Malik (61-65-68-66) mounted a strong challenge with a closing four-under 66 but finished runner-up at 20-under 260. His eventful round contained an eagle on the par-five sixth, six birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey.
