According to Delhi Police, 2873 people who had criminal records were found in the Cockroach Janata Party demonstration. The Supreme Court has also ordered to continue action against such people. Whereas there was talk of withdrawing the FIR against the remaining students. However, now a new twist has come in the matter.

The report claimed that out of 2873 people with criminal records, there were 205 who had cases registered against them in very serious cases. FIRs were registered against 101 cases of murder, 61 cases of rape, 6 cases of POCSO and 37 cases of attempt to murder.
The criminals were imprisoned in 3 different jails of Delhi.
The 25 criminals whom Delhi Police's facial recognition system had claimed to be at the protest site were lodged in the jails of Tihar, Mandoli and Rohini at that time. Of these, 17 are facing murder charges, four are facing rape cases and four are facing attempted murder cases.
