Graham Potter has hit out at an unnamed former club in the comments under a post showing him doing pilates.

Former Chelsea and West Ham manager Graham Potter described one of his previous clubs as "dysfunctional" while replying in the comments section of an Instagram post.

The current Sweden national team head coach is trying to rebuild his managerial career after underwhelming spells with both Chelsea and West Ham United.

Potter shared a picture of himself doing pilates on Instagram yesterday and took a swipe at one of his former clubs while replying to a fan.

The Englishman first built his reputation as Brighton manager, spending three years in charge and guiding the Seagulls to their highest-ever top-flight finish in 2022.

He then moved to Chelsea, where he was dismissed within eight months after losing 11 of his 31 matches in charge.

After nearly two years out of management, Potter returned to the Premier League to take over at West Ham.

Back in London again, his stay was even shorter, as he managed the Hammers from January to September 2025.

His team ended the 2024/25 Premier League season in 14th place, but he was sacked after taking the club to 19th after the opening five matches of the following campaign.

Now in charge of Sweden, Potter led the national side out of the group stage in North America this summer before they were knocked out by France, losing 3-0 to the previous edition's finalists.

The 51-year-old posted an image of himself in a pilates pose on Thursday afternoon, prompting one fan to joke: "Hopefully you are better at Pilates then you were a football manager."

Potter replied: "I'll try not to do Pilates in a dysfunctional place and I will be ok," along with a flexed bicep emoji.

It is not clear which club Potter was referring to. However, West Ham were relegated in the same season he left, while Chelsea finished 10th last term, only 13 points above the relegation zone.

Since Potter's arrival and departure, Chelsea have now gone through their eighth manager in three years, with Xabi Alonso currently in charge.

Another fan responded by saying: "Didn't mind the money though, did you?" and Potter answered: "absolutely not."

And when a West Ham supporter wrote: "You got us relegated, you mug," Potter responded with two laughing emojis.
