IND vs AFG: Ever since Team India lost the T20I series against Ireland, the team management has been under pressure to win every match. This pressure will be evident in the T20I series against Afghanistan as well. The BCCI recently discussed that series loss. Consequently, Team India will field its best team on September 13th, forcing four star players to sit on the bench.

Opener Abhishek Sharma may be benched for the first T20 match. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has cemented his place in the playing eleven with his impressive performance against Zimbabwe. The team will now want to give Sanju Samson a chance, which could mean dropping him. Abhishek Sharma has failed in his last six innings for Team India. Therefore, the team management will not want to face criticism by leaving Sanju Samson out.
Nitish Kumar Reddy
Fast bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is returning from injury after a long absence. However, he will still be out of the playing eleven. Team India is currently considering Shivam Dubey in this role. Dubey has performed this role very well so far. Therefore, there is no reason to exclude him. Therefore, Reddy will have to wait his turn.
Ravi Bishnoi
Star spinner Ravi Bishnoi also faces a difficult chance of making the playing eleven for the first T20I.
