The Sri Lankan team is going on a tour of England this month for the T20 and ODI series, where the T20 and ODI series will start from September 15 and then the ODI series from September 22. The England selectors announced the squad for this series on Friday 4 September. The entry of two new players in this attracted special attention. While Crocombe has been given a chance in the ODI team, Aneurin Donald has been selected for the T20 series.

3 stars out due to injury

England will have to enter this series without some of its star players who are injured. Star opener Phil Salt is out of both series due to thigh injury. In his place, 29 year old Donald has been called for the first time. Jacob Bethel and Sam Curran will also not be able to be a part of these two series due to different injuries. Bethel has not been able to recover from the injury suffered during the ODI series against India. He had a knee injury, for which surgery was done.
