Technology Desk: Infinix has launched its new Hot series smartphone Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G in India. The specialty of the phone is its Active Matrix Cube (AMC) given on the rear panel. This feature shows a variety of lighting and interactive effects along with notifications.
Price and availability
The starting price of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G is Rs 22,999. This introductory price will be applicable along with bank offers. 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the phone will also be available.
The phone has been introduced in Silk Glow Purple, Dive Blue, Thermo Orange and Mirage Green colors. It will be sold through Flipkart and select retail stores. Customers will also get the option of no-cost EMI for 9 months.
144Hz display and Dimensity 7100 chipset
The phone has a 6.76 inch Full HD+ punch-hole display. It has 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and brightness up to 910 nits. According to the company, the screen-to-body ratio is 91.86 percent.
For performance, the phone has been provided with MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor and Mali-G57 GPU. The company claims that this phone supports up to 90fps in some popular games. It has UFS 2.2 storage.
50MP Sony camera
For photography, the phone has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera. Features like AI Live Photo, AI Eraser, AI Extender and One-Tap Vlog are available in it. The phone has an 8 megapixel front camera for selfie and video calling.
What is Active Matrix Cube?
The most special feature of the phone is Active Matrix Cube (AMC). When the phone is held upside down, it can show different visual effects for alerts like call, message, charging, low battery and weather. Apart from this, ambient lighting effects are visible through AMC even while playing music, playing games and while the phone is on.
Large 6,000mAh battery
Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G has a 6,000mAh battery. It supports 45W fast charging and 10W reverse charging. According to the company, the phone can be charged to 50 percent in about 25 minutes and to 100 percent in about 63 minutes. The phone runs on XOS 16 based on Android 16. The company has also promised to provide 3 major OS updates and security updates for 5 years.
