Pakistan Cricket: There is a great earthquake in Pakistan cricket at this time. Pakistan team is on England tour, where a 3 test match series is being played. Pakistan had to face a crushing defeat in the first two test matches of the series, after which the Pakistan Cricket Board has taken many such decisions which have surprised the cricket world. PCB has surprised the cricket world with its decision to call back its 7 players in the middle of the series after the Lord's Test. Apart from this, during the tour, PCB also removed Test head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul from their posts. Now after this decision, while on one hand former Pakistani greats have criticized PCB, on the other their former head coach Jason Gillespie has also given a big statement on this matter. He made a scathing attack on Pakistan team's Chairman of Selectors Aaqib Javed and said that he should look at himself in the mirror.

Former Pakistan coach Gillespie scolds Aaqib Javed

Former Australian legend Jason Gillespie has played the role of head coach in the Pakistan cricket team. He was the head coach of Pakistan for 8 months in the year 2024. Under his coaching, Pakistan cricket team was successful in winning the Test series 2-1 against England at home. Now Jason Gillespie has given his statement on the ongoing chaos in Pakistan cricket. He has held Chairman of Selectors Aaqib Javed responsible for all these things regarding this earthquake going on in Pakistan cricket.

I feel bad for the players – Jason Gillespie

Jason Gillespie said in an interview to The Australian Newspaper that I feel very bad for these players, because it is a question of their livelihood. If seen from outside it is clear that Pakistani players are playing cricket with fear. Salman Ali Aga captains the team in the first Test against England, is dropped from the team in the second Test and is put on a plane to return home before the third Test! After all, how can a system work like this? Aaqib Javed should be clearly held responsible for this.

Gillespie further said that Aaqib has been the Chairman of Selectors for the last two years. We are not even there now, yet they are claiming that it is our fault. What is the point of that? I think Javed needs to look at himself in the mirror instead of pointing fingers at others.

No communication between PCB and players – Gillespie

Gillespie also gave his statement regarding the working style of PCB and poor treatment of players. He said that there is no communication between the selection committee and the players. The players who were dropped from the middle series and sent back were not informed by the board itself. Those players came to know through their friends, family and media that they had been dropped. This is very insulting for any player.
