Lucknow: In fact, CJP national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka met Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday evening in Lucknow. This meeting is said to have taken place in the office of Janeshwar Mishra Trust located near the Samajwadi Party headquarters. According to sources, the conversation between the two lasted for about one and a half hour. After the meeting was over, Ashutosh Ranka left from there, but he did not talk to the media. No official statement was issued by Samajwadi Party regarding the meeting.

However, SP's chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary confirmed the meeting of Akhilesh Yadav and Ashutosh Ranka. He said that issues to youth, unemployment and the status of education in schools may have been discussed in the conversation. However, he also did not give complete information about what issues were actually discussed in the meeting. Quoting sources, it is also being said that students' issues along with concerns to Gen Z and Gen Alpha may have been discussed in the meeting. There is also a possibility of discussion on how issues to education should be raised further. But the political importance of this meeting is not limited to this only. Because for some time now CJP has been continuously agitating on the issues of students and youth and these movements have also been getting support from Samajwadi Party.

Last month, Ashutosh Ranka was allegedly attacked during the 'Fix the School' campaign in Rajasthan. Akhilesh Yadav had also raised this issue publicly. After the police action during CJP's protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, many SP leaders including SP MPs Dimple Yadav and Dharmendra Yadav had reached the protest site and supported the students' movement. Akhilesh Yadav has also been supporting CJP's student movements on several occasions. On the other hand, education, unemployment and condition of schools are such issues on which Akhilesh Yadav has been continuously cornering the BJP government.

That is, there is a clear similarity in the issues of both the parties – youth, education and employment and now a few months before the elections, the one and a half hour closed-door meeting between the prominent faces of both the parties has further intensified the political speculations. At present, there has been no official announcement of any alliance or political agreement between SP and CJP. Therefore, it is too early to call it an alliance. But in politics, meetings also give a message and especially when the meeting is held behind closed doors, lasts for about one and a half hours and after that both the parties remain silent.

At present the picture is not clear but this one and a half hour meeting of Akhilesh Yadav and Ashutosh Ranka has definitely become a new issue of discussion in the electoral politics of UP.
