Saharanpur. Bulldozer action took place on Saturday morning to demolish the mosque built in the Saharanpur Collectorate complex of UP. The Saharanpur administration had tightened security and sealed the mosque on Friday night itself. According to the information, the City Magistrate had given orders to demolish the mosque located at Saharanpur Collectorate. Against which the Muslim side had filed an application in the district court. From there also a request was made to demolish the mosque on Thursday.
Saharanpur District Judge Satendra Kumar had upheld the order issued from the City Magistrate Court on July 16, 2026. The District Judge had also admitted that the mosque was built on government land in the Collectorate premises. After this, on Saturday morning the administration called for a bulldozer and started demolishing the mosque, which was considered to be on government land. Apart from police from all the police stations, PAC personnel were also deployed on the spot to prevent any disturbance. The City Magistrate of Saharanpur had ordered the demolition of the mosque in August, calling it illegal. Against which the Muslim side had filed an application in the District Judge's court.

The Muslim side says that the City Magistrate had ordered to vacate the mosque, not to demolish it. The Muslim side says that it will approach Allahabad High Court against the action of the administration. Former Saharanpur MP Fazlur Rahman had said that the mosque side can appeal in the higher court in 22 days. Congress MP Imran Masood has appealed to the people to maintain peace. Masood says that the names of Wahid Khan and Yakub Khan have been recorded in the land records of the mosque for a long time. At the same time, the police stopped SP MP Iqra Hasan, who was trying to go from Kairana to Saharanpur, from leaving her house. She wanted to go to Saharanpur to meet the officers and talk against the demolition of the mosque.
