Mirzapur: ‘The Movie’ starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Ravi Kishan in lead roles has made a tremendous debut at the domestic box office. The web series, which made its film debut, took a strong start, matching the initial box office expectations. According to early estimates on Sacnilk, the film collected around Rs 24.75 crore nett across India on its opening day. With this, the film has reportedly recorded the fourth highest opening day collection among Hindi films released in 2026.

According to reports, ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ earned around Rs 24.60 crore nett from its Hindi release, while its Telugu version contributed around Rs 15 lakh. Currently, India’s total net collection is around Rs 24.75 crore, but the estimated gross total of the film has crossed Rs 29.70 crore.

Occupancy of ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’

The film did well in 11,135 shows on the first day and recorded a total occupancy of 42.81%. The morning shows started off slow with around 25% occupancy, but the film, which received an ‘A’ certification from the CBFC, picked up pace throughout the day, and the occupancy in the night shows increased to around 62%, reports said.

This opening has put ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ ahead of Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Awarapan 2’, which recently registered a net opening of Rs 22 crore at the Hindi box office last month. However, according to the current figures, the film has lagged behind the opening day collection of Rs 30 crore, due to which ‘Border 2’ was at number three. ‘Toxic’ and ‘Dhurandhar The Revenge’ are at the top two places with collections of Rs 55 crore and Rs 99 crore. With a net collection of Rs 24.75 crore on the first day, ‘Mirzapur The Movie’ has secured the fourth position among the highest opening-day grossing films of 2026.
