What is needed to make laddus?
- Grated coconut – 2 cups
- Condensed milk- 1 cup
- Milk- 2 tbsp
- Cardamom powder- half teaspoon
- Cashews and almonds – 2 tbsp
- Dry coconut – for wrapping laddus
- Favorite dry fruits- for garnishing
- Ghee- as per need
Prepare coconut laddus like this
- First of all, place the pan on the gas and heat it on low flame. Now add grated coconut to it and fry lightly for some time. Keep in mind that the color of the coconut should not be brown.
- Now add condensed milk to the roasted coconut and mix both the things well. Keep stirring the mixture continuously on low flame.
- When the mixture gradually starts thickening and leaves the pan, add cardamom powder and finely chopped cashew-almonds and mix well.
- After this, turn off the gas and let the mixture cool for some time. Keep in mind that the mixture should not cool completely, because laddus will be made easily if it is slightly warm.
- Now apply some ghee on your hands and take small amounts of the mixture and prepare round shaped laddus.
- Wrap the prepared laddus thoroughly in dry coconut. After this, you can garnish with cashew nuts, almonds or dry fruits of your choice.
