Harry Kane could finish his playing career at Bayern Munich. The German club are reportedly keen to keep the England star for the long term and are already working on a contract extension beyond his current deal, which runs until 2027.

According to Christian Falk, Bayern are confident Kane will put pen to paper on a new agreement. Although a few details still need to be settled between the club and the 33-year-old, those in charge are said to be broadly very optimistic.

The report adds that the proposed new contract would be for three years. That would keep Kane tied to the German record champions until 2030 and could see him bring down the curtain on his career in a Bayern shirt.

Recent reports had suggested that Bayern’s management wanted only a two-year extension, while Kane preferred a three-year deal. Falk now says Bayern Munich may be ready to grant their superstar exactly that.

Bayern also appear to have no concerns about Kane’s long-term future being in Munich. After an outstanding 2025–26 season, club officials reportedly see no reason to question the continuation of the partnership.

After speaking to Bayern president Herbert Hainer, Falk described the mood around the situation as calm. “I spoke with Herbert Hainer, the club president, about the situation, and everyone said, ‘Relax’; everyone thinks a new contract is just a matter of time.”

If the extension does run until 2030, Kane would be 37 by the time the new deal expires. That would mean the striker could spend the remainder of his career at Bayern Munich.

Even so, there are said to be a few unresolved points in the negotiations. Falk, however, remains convinced that an extension could be made official soon.

“There are still a few outstanding issues regarding the contract negotiations that need to be resolved, but everyone is confident that everything will work out. I think that next month—definitely still this year, not next year—we’ll see a contract announcement,” Falk explained.

A transfer elsewhere, though, currently appears highly unlikely. Manchester United in particular have been linked with Kane for years, but Falk firmly played down that speculation, saying that once the contract is extended, Kane will be off the market “for a long time.”

For Bayern, a long-term deal would send a clear message: Kane is not only expected to remain in Munich for the next few years, but the Englishman could even end his career with the German record champions.
