Asian Games: Indian Olympic Association (IOA) Japan For the Asian Games BCCI regarding accommodation arrangements of Indian cricket team (BCCI) has responded. The IOA has made it clear that BCCI can make separate accommodation arrangements for cricketers if they want. The IOA will not request separate accommodation for cricket in the Asian Games. Speaking to Times of India, IOA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Raghuram Iyer gave this information.

Raghuram Iyer made it clear that if the BCCI decides that its cricketers should stay outside the official Asian Games hotels in Aichi-Nagoya, then BCCI will be solely responsible for hotel, food, transport and ensuring that the players reach the ground on time. The BCCI is free to make its own arrangements, but the entire responsibility for logistics will be theirs.

All players will be treated equally – IOA

Raghuram Iyer emphasized that it is the IOA's responsibility to ensure that the entire Indian squad participating in the 36 games is treated equally. Iyer said, 'BCCI CEO Hemang Amin contacted us and we had a fruitful discussion. They are considering sending an advance team to Japan to assess the facilities. IOA has no objection to this. Based on their assessment, they can decide whether they want to use the organizer's facilities or make their own arrangements. All sports, players, coaches and the entire delegation are treated equally by the IOA. No one gets VIP treatment.'
