Three hurricanes passing through the Pacific are reaching California and Hawaii. Due to this, millions of Americans have been warned to be prepared for deadly consequences. It is being said that these three storms will not only cause economic loss, but many people may also lose their lives.
Hurricane Lowell is expected to threaten the Hawaiian Islands shortly after Labor Day as the massive Category 3 storm turns rapidly north. After this, it will probably have a direct impact on Kauai or O'ahu island. Meanwhile, Hurricane Marie is headed towards the coast of Mexico and prediction models still show a strong chance that the Category 2 cyclone will turn east and hit the California coast.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has already warned that the Labor Day holiday weekend could lead to life-threatening conditions at crowded beaches and shores in both states, including strong waves and dangerous rip currents. Rip currents are strong, thin channels of water that flow rapidly away from shore. These often pull swimmers into the sea. These can be deadly as they sweep people into deep water, leaving them exhausted trying to fight the current.
The storm will weaken into a tropical depression
Heavy rain is expected to spoil the holiday weekend across Southern California, including San Diego and Los Angeles, as Hurricane Marie approaches the coast. The NHC expects Marie to weaken to a tropical depression before reaching the West Coast, but Lowell is forecast to remain a major hurricane until Labor Day. This could lead to dangerous weather for more than one million residents and tourists.
There will be problems due to winds and heavy rains
Alex DaSilva, lead hurricane expert at AccuWeather, said that we believe Lowell will come so close with the storm's large size that it will have a greater impact in the form of heavy rain, strong winds and perhaps power outages on the western part of the islands.
Du will go away after making landfall
It is Carina, the third hurricane in the chaotic Pacific Ocean this week, which was initially feared to make a historic landfall in California, but then moved away from land. Meanwhile, weather forecasters in California have warned that the long weekend could be filled with high humidity, rain and dangerous surf at local beaches, especially in Los Angeles and San Diego.
