In a conversation with 'Minutes of Masala', Sunil Darshan told that at that time he felt that the relationship between Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty was about to reach marriage.

He said that the relationship between the two was going very well and he felt that both of them were about to get married. But some misunderstandings arose between the two, after which their relationship broke.

However, Sunil Darshan did not give detailed information about these alleged misunderstandings.

In the conversation, Sunil Darshan also recalled that period of Akshay Kumar's career, when many of his films were not performing well at the box office.

Many of Akshay's films were unsuccessful in the 1990s. During this period, Sunil Darshan made 'Janwar' with him.

'Janwar' changed Akshay's fate

'Janwar', released in 1999, proved to be an important film for Akshay Kumar's career. Shilpa Shetty was also seen with Akshay in the film.

According to Sunil Darshan, after the success of 'Jaanwar', Akshay's stardom took a big leap. After this, the producers of many of his films which were waiting for release for a long time also took steps towards releasing them. These films included films like 'Hera Pheri' and 'Dhadkan'.

Sunil Darshan told that after 'Janwar', Akshay's career went up continuously and he did not look back. According to the filmmaker, he has worked with Akshay Kumar in a total of 7 films.
