The Research Centre Imarat (RCI) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)—part of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex in Hyderabad—has invited applications from young individuals interested in research. This recruitment drive aims to fill temporary positions for Research Associates (RA) and Junior Research Fellows (JRF). Candidates will have the opportunity to work on research involving cutting-edge technologies for defence applications.

**Required Qualifications**
Opportunities for the RA position are available in disciplines such as Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Physics. Candidates must possess a PhD or a first-class M.Tech degree, along with the requisite research experience. Expertise in fields such as Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Real-time Systems, Structural and Thermal Analysis, Power Electronics, RF & Microwave, Radar Engineering, and Experimental Quantum Optics is required. Candidates with an M.Tech degree need three years of relevant research experience, while those with an M.Sc. in Physics need four years; additionally, the publication of research papers in SCI journals is mandatory.

**Research Opportunities**
Applications for the JRF position are invited in disciplines including Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Mechanical Engineering, and Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering. Candidates must hold a first-class B.E./B.degree in the relevant subject with a valid GATE score, or an M.E./M.Tech degree in the relevant field. Candidates with a first-class M.Sc. in Chemistry or Physics, along with a valid NET, GATE, or SLET score, are also eligible to apply. The JRF appointment is initially for two years, with the possibility of extension to a third and fourth year as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) based on performance.

**Age and Experience**
The maximum age limit is 35 years for General category candidates applying for the RA position and 28 years for the JRF position. Age relaxation is provided: five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates. Applications will be screened before selection, and RA candidates will be called for an interview based on the relevance of their research work, experience, or PhD thesis.
