Toyota Innova Hycross facelift has been spotted testing once again in India, and this time the spy shots provide the clearest look yet at its cabin. While previous sightings have primarily revealed exterior changes, the latest images give us our first proper view of the dashboard and centre console. Interestingly, there are no obvious changes to the interior design. Dashboard layout, centre console, gear selector, door trims and other visible elements appear largely identical to current Innova Hycross. However, one important part of the cabin remains deliberately hidden – the infotainment touchscreen.

Innova Hycross Facelift Touchscreen Hidden

In the latest test mule spotted in Hinjewadi area of Pune, Toyota’s test team appears to have placed a file or folder directly in front of the infotainment display. It completely blocks the screen from view, making it impossible to establish whether the facelift is running the existing touchscreen or an upgraded unit. This is particularly interesting because infotainment could be one of the areas Toyota updates with the facelift. Current higher variants of Innova Hycross get a 10.1-inch touchscreen. A larger display or an updated infotainment system would help Toyota bring Hycross closer to newer rivals in terms of cabin technology. For now, however, there is no visual evidence confirming such an upgrade.

Rest of the visible dashboard appears familiar. The raised centre console, automatic gear selector and overall dashboard architecture seem unchanged. Even the door-mounted seat adjustment controls visible in the spy shots appear to have been carried forward. Toyota could still introduce changes to upholstery, equipment and software without substantially altering the cabin design.

Exterior Gets More Noticeable Changes

While the interior appears familiar, exterior changes are expected to be more substantial. Heavy camouflage continues to cover the test vehicle, particularly around the front and rear.

Side profile and basic proportions remain largely unchanged, while revisions are also expected for the rear bumper and tail lamp internals. Mechanically, major changes are unlikely. Innova Hycross facelift is expected to continue with the existing 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrains. Current strong-hybrid setup produces around 184 hp combined and is paired with an e-CVT.

Competition Has Become Stronger

Timing of the facelift is significant, as competition around Innova Hycross price range (Rs 19 lakh to Rs 32 lakh) has increased.  in India with both diesel and strong-hybrid powertrains. Sorento Hybrid starts at Rs 29.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 40.39 lakh, putting it directly within consideration for buyers looking at higher Innova Hycross Hybrid variants. has also entered the Indian market, adding another electrified three-row alternative. With competitive pricing, these newer offerings have the potential to attract buyers who are otherwise considering Innova Hycross Hybrid.

Innova Hycross continues to have its own advantages, including Toyota’s established presence in the premium MPV segment. However, newer rivals are raising expectations around technology, features and electrified powertrains.

Facelift Expected To Strengthen Hycross Package

Launched in India in late 2022, Innova Hycross is now approaching the stage where a mid-cycle update makes sense. Rather than completely redesigning the cabin, Toyota appears to be concentrating on exterior revisions while potentially updating technology and equipment inside.

The concealed infotainment screen therefore remains one of the biggest unanswered questions from these latest spy shots. More details should emerge as testing progresses and prototypes gradually lose camouflage ahead of the facelift’s eventual launch.
