The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is now on sale in India. Based on the RE Scram 440, this new adventure motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Tamil Nadu), making it Rs 79,000 more affordable than the RE Himalayan 450 and up to Rs 5,000 more expensive than the RE Scram 440.

At this price point, the RE Himalayan 440 competes with the TVS Apache RTX 300, Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX.

Booking Details & Colour Options

Interested buyers can book the bike at any Royal Enfield dealership or through the brand’s official website. The new RE adventure bike is available in three colour options – Mustang Brow, Nelong White and Sela Black.

Engine, Suspension & Braking System

Powering the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is a 443cc engine, producing a maximum power of 25.4PS at 6,250rpm and 34Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. Transmission duties are performed by a 6-speed gearbox.

The suspension setup includes a 41mm telescopic fork front and linked monoshock at the rear. The braking power comes from a 300mm front and 240cc rear disc brakes, assisted by dual channel ABS (antilock braking system).

The bike rides on 90/90-21 front and 120/90-17 rear tyres. It gets a fuel tank capacity of 15-litres and has a kerb weight of 199kg. The RE Himalayan 440 offers a seat height of 800mm and a ground clearance of 220mm.

Features & Design

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 comes equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster. It gets an analogue speedometer with a digital insert showing odometer, fuel indicator, gear position indicator, clock and trip meter. The bike gets a USB Type-C charger and a tripper navigation pod, featuring turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. In terms of design, the new adventure motorcycle features an LED headlamp and LED taillamp.
