Jawa has added another motorcycle to its new All Stars family, and this time it is the 42 Bobber getting the special treatment. Unveiled by Anand Mahindra at the Global Chess League 2026 in Bengaluru, the Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber is the second motorcycle to enter the new sub-brand after the 42 FJ.

The idea behind Jawa All Stars is fairly straightforward. Jawa says it is meant to celebrate riders who value individuality, confidence and the freedom to make their own choices. In typical Jawa fashion, there is a fair amount of philosophy around it, but the more interesting bit for buyers is that the 42 Bobber gets a bunch of new colours and visual changes.

The biggest visual update is the addition of chequered graphics and the All Stars insignia. These are intended to tie the motorcycle into the Global Chess League launch, while also giving the Bobber a slightly different identity from the standard motorcycle.

The standout colour is the new Silver Knight, which uses the chequered theme rather prominently. There is also an All Stars Shadow Black version, which takes the Bobber’s already distinctive silhouette and gives it a stealthier matte-black finish. Other colours include Black Mirror, Jasper Red and Mystic Copper. Prices start at Rs 2.08 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, and go up to Rs 2.19 lakh for the Black Mirror version.

There are no major mechanical changes. The All Stars version continues with the 42 Bobber’s 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 29.9PS and 30.01Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, while the motorcycle uses a double-cradle frame.

Suspension duties are handled by 35mm telescopic forks at the front and a gas-filled rear monoshock with seven-step preload adjustment. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.

The Bobber continues to use an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, while its 740mm seat height should make it relatively accessible to shorter riders. At 177kg, it isn’t exactly featherweight, but that’s par for the course in this segment.

Jawa describes the 42 Bobber as India’s first purpose-built bobber, and its design remains its biggest selling point. The cantilever-style single seat, long and low stance and floating-seat appearance make it quite different from the usual retro motorcycles in this price bracket. It has also recently won the Style Icon of the Year award, recognising its design and road presence.

The All Stars treatment is therefore less about fixing something that wasn’t working and more about giving an already distinctive motorcycle another reason to attract attention. Jawa is also continuing with its Ownership Assurance Programme, which includes a four-year/50,000km standard warranty, extended warranty options up to six years, roadside assistance for up to eight years and AMC options for up to five years. The company’s network currently covers more than 450 sales and service touchpoints.

The Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber starts at Rs 2.08 lakh, making it a fairly interesting proposition for someone looking for a motorcycle primarily on the basis of design and character. And that, ultimately, is what the 42 Bobber has always been about.
