The television commercial of the Kia Sorento hybrid has been shared on YouTube by Kia India‘s Official Channel. It starts off with an owner of the Kia Sorento, finished in the menacing shade of Dark Gun Metal, walking out of the home and using the smart key to activate remote smart parking assist to bring forward the Sorento. Soon after this, he walks towards the rear of the vehicle and shows the electric tailgate and the flexible boot space of this SUV.
Next, the driver opens the door, and the driver seat goes back automatically to show the smart driver welcome seat. The video also shows the 19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels which are offered on the top-of-the-line variants. The lower variants get an 18-inch alloy wheel. Soon after this, he moves inside the cabin to show the advanced digital IRVM which uses a camera in the rear to show the rear view.
The owner then starts the Sorento using the push start stop button and shows the curved 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the 12.3-inch digital instrument gauge cluster. Following this, the video then shows the crystal cube LED projector headlights of this SUV, along with the dual zone automatic climate control. Other highlights shown in the TVC include leatherette upholstery and captain’s chairs in the middle row, star map LED DRLs, and rear seat ventilation.

Moving ahead, the TVC shows the 12-speaker BOSE premium audio system, star map LED taillights, and newly introduced Smartstream 1.6-litre turbo GDi hybrid AT powertrain. Apart from this, the driver is also seen using the head-up display, Kia AI assistant which features real-time generative abilities, panoramic sunroof, and ADAS Level 2+ with 30 features.

Apart from these, the TVC also showcases Sorento’s dial type shift-by-wire selector, progressive turn indicators, drive modes, and terrain mode selector. It also highlights that the top-of-the-line variants also get front row relaxation comfort seats which also get ergo motion massaging function as well. During these shots, the driver is seen driving the vehicle through highways, muddy roads, and then finally reaching his destination.
The Kia Sorento, as mentioned, has become the flagship 7-seater hybrid SUV in the Kia lineup. It is being offered with two powertrain options. The first is the 1.6-litre petrol hybrid engine which will make 238 bhp and 265 Nm of torque and comes offered with an all-wheel-drive system. It also gets a 2.2-litre engine which makes 193 bhp and 442 Nm of torque.

As for the pricing, the base variant of the diesel Sorento starts at Rs 27.99 lakh, and with the hybrid petrol option, it is priced at Rs 29.49 lakh. The diesel Sorento tops out at Rs 37.69 lakh. Meanwhile, the hybrid petrol Sorento tops out at Rs 40.19 lakh. This SUV is currently competing with the Toyota Fortuner, MG Majestor, Volkswagen Tayron, and the Skoda Kodiaq in India. It also takes on the higher variants of the Toyota Innova Hycross as well.
