Youngest batsman to complete 3000 runs
Indian women's cricket team opener Shafali Verma created history in the Women's Asia Cup Group 'A' match against Pakistan on Saturday. She completed 3,000 runs in women's T20 international cricket. Apart from this, two big records were broken. Shafali became the fastest and youngest batsman to achieve this historic milestone. Shafali set a world record by completing 3000 runs in women's T20 internationals at the age of 22. She broke Ireland's Gabby Lewis' record. Gabi achieved this feat at the age of 24 years and 347 days. Apart from this, Shafali completed 3000 runs in the fewest deliveries. She reached this figure in just 2182 balls. This record was previously held by Australian veteran Alyssa Healy. Elisa had completed 3000 runs in 2321 balls. Despite returning to the pavilion with 12 runs against the Pakistan Women's team, Shafali has created history. Shafali achieved this feat in her 114th T20 International match. Shefali has so far scored 3055 runs in 113 innings.
Shefali made his T20 International debut for India in 2019 at the age of just 15. She has now become the third Indian woman batsman to complete 3,000 runs in Women's T20 Internationals. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana have already achieved this feat. Shefali is known for her aggressive batting. At just 22 years of age, she has gained a lot of experience in international cricket and has established herself as one of the most dangerous openers in women's cricket.
