Though the Naxal backdrop is a serious subject, director Janakiram has shown through the teaser that the film is packed with entertainment. While there are a few scenes to Naxalism, most of the teaser suggests that the film is going to be a hilarious one. Brahmaji, Srikanth Iyengar, Vennela Kishore, Satya and Sudharshan provide plenty of laughs.
On the other hand, Radikaa Sarath Kumar, Shine Tom Chacko and Upendra Limaye are also part of the cast. Mahima Nambiar is playing the female lead, while Vijai Bulganin is the music director. The story is set against a forest backdrop, with the lush greenery adding to the visual appeal.
Talking about the title, Sree Vishnu said that ‘Comrade’ means friend and ‘Kalyan’ means good. “Comrade Kalyan is always wishing good things for others, hence the name Comrade Kalyan. The film is going to be a hilarious one, and I am confident that everyone will like it,” said Sree Vishnu at the teaser launch event.
Bhanu Bhogavarapu and Nandu Savarigana, who have previously worked on films featuring Sree Vishnu and others, have penned the story and screenplay. Sree Vishnu praised the two writers for their work and also thanked Kona Venkat for bringing the story to him.
