New Delhi: The winner of the year 2026 has been crowned on the biggest international platform of beauty and intelligence. In the grand finale of the 73rd Miss World held in Vietnam, Johari Mol Dominguez of the Dominican Republic won the prestigious title of Miss World 2026 on the strength of her beauty, confidence and visionary thinking. Elizabeth Reynes of Spain was the first runner-up in the competition, while Tanusia Chetty of Malaysia secured the second runner-up position. Former winner Opal Suchata Chuangsri, who won the title for the first time for Thailand last year, crowned Joheri the winner.
Journey of Indian contender Nikita
Nikita Porwal, who is representing India in this Mahakumbh of Miss World 2026, had initially raised a lot of expectations with her performance.
She performed brilliantly in the Top Model Challenge and directly secured her place in the top 40. Due to tough competition, she was out of the top 20 race.
Decisive reply led to historic victory
The question asked in the last round of the finale and its correct answer played an important role in deciding Johari’s victory. Under the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ segment, when she was asked about the ongoing social work in her country and her outlook after becoming Miss World, she mentioned about her social initiatives. Joheri said that she is working with commitment to provide English language education to the children of deprived communities. He believes that English is not just a language or subject, but a powerful medium of expression, which opens doors to new opportunities for the future of children. His sensitivity and forward-looking thinking won the hearts of the judges.
The new Miss World is rich in versatile talent
The new Miss World Johari Mol Dominguez is not limited to beauty pageants only, but she is also a successful social worker and professional. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana. She is the founder and president of the organization ‘Voice of Tomorrow’, through which she teaches English literature and social studies to needy youth for free. Apart from being a professional model, she has also made her mark as a TV reporter.
