Mohanlal is onto his next massive project, Operation Ganga, a cinematic chronicle of India’s real-life humanitarian rescue mission during the 2022 Russia-Ukraine war. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Vishnu Mohan, the high-octane biographical action drama has officially begun filming.
The film revolves around the challenging rescue operation undertaken by the Indian government to evacuate thousands of Indian citizens stranded in Ukraine after the war broke out in 2022.
Significantly, the film has onboarded military adviser Squadron Leader Varlin Panwar to ensure authenticity in the film’s military manoeuvres and sequences. The project features cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek of Pushpa, composer Shashwat Sachdev and South Korean action choreographer Sea Young Oh, both of Dhurandhar fame.
