Sunaina Roshan penned a heartfelt birthday message for her father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, saying she will always be proud to be his daughter and cherishes the qualities she has inherited from him. Sunaina took to Instagram on Sunday to share a video montage featuring rare father-daughter moments from over the years. In her post, she said one of the biggest compliments she could receive is being told that she resembles her father. She praised Rakesh for his strength, wit and resilience, saying she has always admired these qualities and feels happy to carry a part of them with her. “If being called your daughter wasn’t enough of a blessing, being told that I’m like you is one of my favourite compliments. Your strength, your wit, your resilience… these are the qualities I’ve always admired in you and I’m so happy to carry a little piece of them with me,” Sunaina wrote. “Forever proud to be your daughter. Forever your Daddy’s girl. Happy Birthday, Papa. I love you,” she added. Rakesh Roshan responded warmly to the post, thanking his daughter and writing, “Thank you Niks.” Earlier, veteran actress and Rakesh Roshan’s former co-star Simi Garewal also wished him by revisiting their 1971 film ‘Seema’. Sharing the film’s poster, she wrote that the movie brought them together and said that, 55 years later, he remains her “dearest friend” and “real life hero”. Rakesh responded to Garewal’s post, writing, “Simi ji what a lovely journey, thank you for the love & wishes.” Rakesh Roshan began his career as an actor before moving into filmmaking and direction. His notable directorial projects include ‘King Uncle’, ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Koyla’, ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’, ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ and ‘Krrish’.
