Corporate Partner Launch: The central government has brought a special scheme for small enterprises. A special initiative has been launched to facilitate the MSME compliance process for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The initiative aims to simplify the compliance process and make knowledge accessible to all. It will remove the fear of things and lack of things. Anita Shah Akela, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, said that the aim of the initiative is to make compliance a tool for trust, transparency, accountability and orderly development rather than a burden. Announced 'Corporate Mitra' initiative in 2026-27. The initiative aims to create a pool of trained and certified semi-professionals who can assist Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in business and regulatory compliance. The program has technical and academic support from IIT Madras, IIT Madras promoters and Swayam Plus along with the professional expertise of ICAI, ICSI and ICOAI.
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ICAI, Institute of Company Secretaries of India ICSI and Institute of Cost Accountants of India ICOAI have launched the 'Corporate Mitra' course, registering 2,879 students for the first batch.
Providing cost-effective professional support
According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the structured learning and capacity-building phase of the program has begun with the launch of the 'Corporate Mitra Learning Management System' LMS. The course aims to create a skilled pool of certified semi-professionals, who can provide cost-effective business support to MSMEs to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, thereby promoting ease of doing business, employment generation and inclusive economic growth.
This course is for 12 months
The total duration of the 'Corporate Mitra' course is 12 months, divided into two phases. About 150 hours of structured academic learning is provided through recorded video lectures during the first six months. This is followed by six months of on-the-job training in professional firms owned by members of ICAI, ICSI and ICOAI, which will provide practical experience to the students.
