Toyota is preparing to introduce a rugged new SUV to the Indian market, aimed at buyers seeking a more accessible option than the traditional Fortuner. The upcoming model expands the manufacturer's utility vehicle line by bringing the Land Cruiser family badge to a lower price bracket.
The vehicle adopts an imposing visual stance characterised by a boxy silhouette, muscular bumpers, and a hefty grille. As per a by MotorOctane, the model balances a compact layout with traditional off-road design characteristics.
Land Cruiser FJ Specifications and Features
The Land Cruiser FJ is powered by a 2.7-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 164 bhp and 245 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel-drive system. The cabin combines an old-school rugged layout with modern technology, featuring a 12.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver display, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, and physical control knobs alongside a series of practical off-road utility elements.
Land Cruiser FJ Price in India
The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is expected to launch around the end of 2027 or early 2028, with an estimated on-road price in Mumbai ranging between INR 30 lakh and INR 45 lakh.
