Veteran striker Jamie Vardy has sealed a striking return to English football after joining as a free agent.
The former Leicester City forward has signed for Championship club Burnley on a one-year contract.
Vardy became available after his deal with Italian side Cremonese came to an end at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
Speaking after finalising his move to the Clarets, Vardy said, “I’m really happy to now be here at Burnley FC.
"This club has a proper footballing history and passionate fans who deserve a team that represents them and their town.
"I can’t wait to get going on the pitch and help the team move in the right direction.”
The 39-year-old scored 200 goals for former club Leicester City across all competitions.
