Patna. Many districts of Bihar are in the grip of floods these days. Due to severe flood, people there are facing a lot of problems. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has made a special appeal to the central government regarding this. He said, the Central Government should declare the devastating floods of Bihar as a “national disaster” and provide special financial assistance of Rs 5 thousand crores.

Tejashwi Yadav wrote on social media, 76% of Bihar's land is flood affected. 19 districts of Bihar are currently in the grip of severe floods. More than 20 lakh people are trapped in this disaster. The cattle of cattle herders have drowned and been washed away. There has been huge damage to public infrastructure. There has been loss of life and property worth thousands of crores. The bankrupt Bihar government is indifferent to helping the flood victims.

He further wrote, the Central Government should immediately declare the devastating flood of Bihar as a “national disaster” and provide special financial assistance of Rs. 5 thousand crores to help the distressed Bihar and ensure the support of Air Force helicopters for flood relief and rescue operations.
Tejashwi Yadav further wrote, urges Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Bihar without any delay and survey the status quo and provide immediate relief.
