Pandal hopping for Durga Puja means dressing up in new clothes every day. For Ashtami, the saree remained. But on Panchami-Sashthi, the mind wants to dress up in western (Durga Puja Panchami Special: 3 Easy DIY Masks for Dark Elbows and Knees). But sleeveless clothes or short dresses mean that elbows or knees will become visible! Just thinking about it makes me feel uncomfortable.

Many people think that this patch of knee-elbow is actually caused by not applying soap for a long time. So they emphasize on rubbing dirt more and more. But it has the opposite effect. Black spots do not come off, but repeated rubbing damages the top layer of the skin. Itching or burning may also develop. But what can be done?

In fact, skin tanning is behind this dark look. Only proper tan removal procedures will remove such stains. There is no need to use famous and expensive brand cosmetics for that. Rather, simple ingredients in the home kitchen will do the job.

Gram flour and curd mask

Besan has been used for a long time in Indian cosmetics. On the other hand, yogurt contains lactic acid, which makes the skin soft and smooth. Make a smooth paste by mixing two tablespoons of gram flour with curd as required. Apply evenly on elbows and knees and leave for 10-15 minutes. Then wash off gently with lukewarm water. Make sure to dry the skin and apply moisturizer.

Honey and Oats Mask

Mix one tablespoon of finely powdered oats with one tablespoon of honey and a little water to make a paste. Apply it on the black spot and wait for about 10 minutes. Then wet your hands and massage very gently for a few seconds and wash with water. Finally, don't forget to apply moisturizer.

Aloe vera and turmeric mask

Aloe vera gel helps to keep the skin moisturized from within. On the other hand, raw turmeric is a widely used ingredient in Indian cosmetics. Mix a tablespoon of aloe vera gel with a pinch of turmeric. Apply thinly on elbows and knees and leave for 10 minutes. Then rinse well.

It may cause temporary yellowing of the skin, so use in small amounts.
But remember a few things. Natural ingredients do not mean that it will be suitable for everyone's skin. There is not much time left for Puja. So if you want to brighten the skin before that, you must be careful. When applied to the skin, it will really remove the tanning of the knees and elbows. You can dress up in western clothes as you like.
