Siddharthnagar. On Monday, the vehicles were checked on Shohratgarh-Pakdi road of Shohratgarh police station area by CC team sub-inspector Harendra Sharan Shukla, constable Krishnanandan Singh, Sudama Yadav, Nitin Yadav. During checking, fine of Rs 10,000 was collected by issuing challan against bike riders for lack of documents of vehicles and not wearing helmets.
The CC police team checked the faces of the drivers with the breath analyzer machine at Nakathar and Pakdi intersection. During checking, a fine of Rs 10,000 was recovered through e-challan from a dozen bike riders without documents and without wearing helmets and drivers of e-rickshaw and four-wheelers.
In order to reduce road accidents and make drivers aware about safety, an awareness program was organized on Monday under the chairmanship of police station in-charge Sheshmani Pandey in a school located in Pakri Bazar police station area, where teachers and students were motivated to ride bikes at speed and safely, wearing helmets.
