Beti Bachao Beti Padhao: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is giving institutional strength to the programs running at the school level to provide education to girls along with leadership, self-confidence and a safe environment. Under this policy, under the Special Project for Equity, training programs are being organized at the state level to make Meena Manchs an effective medium for empowerment and leadership development of girls.

According to Director General School Education Monica Rani, there will be a Training of Trainers (TOT) and Master Trainer (MT) workshop for a total of 450 participants in nine batches from 09 to 24 September at SIEMAT, Prayagraj. In the workshop, the capacity of the participants will be enhanced for empowerment of Meena forums, providing leadership capacity and effective implementation of provisions to sexual exploitation.

Training will be done in nine batches

The workshop of first and second batch will be held on 09 and 10 September, of third and fourth batch on 11 and 12 September, of fifth and sixth batch on 21 and 22 September, of seventh and eighth batch on 16 and 17 September and the workshop of ninth batch will be held on 23 and 24 September 2026. Each batch will consist of 50 participants and a total of 450 participants will be trained.

There will be participation from 75 districts

Participants from different districts of the state will participate in the workshop. The first batch will include six participants each from Badaun, Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Etah, Etawah, Faizabad and Farrukhabad. The second batch will have participants from Fatehpur, Firozabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Ghazipur, Gonda, Gorakhpur and Hamirpur. The third batch will include participants from Hapur, Hardoi, Hathras, Jalaun, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kannauj and Kanpur Dehat and the fourth batch will include participants from Kasganj, Kaushambi, Kushi Nagar, Kanpur Nagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lalitpur, Lucknow and Maharajganj.

Similarly, in the fifth batch there will be participants from Mahoba, Mainpuri, Mathura, Mau, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad and Muzaffarnagar and in the sixth batch there will be participants from Pilibhit, Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli, Rampur, Saharanpur, Sambhal, Sant Kabir Nagar and Shahjahanpur. The seventh batch will have participation from Shamli, Siddharthnagar, Sitapur, Sonbhadra, Shravasti, Sultanpur, Unnao and Varanasi and the eighth batch will have participation from Agra, Aligarh, Auraiya, Prayagraj, Ambedkar Nagar, Amethi, Amroha, Azamgarh and Baghpat, while the ninth batch will be held on 23 and 24 September, in which Bahraich, Balrampur, Banda, Barabanki, Participants will participate from Bareilly, Basti, Bhadohi and Bijnor.

Meena Manchs will get strong leadership

The objective of the workshop is to create trained human resources by linking Meena Manchas with girls’ empowerment, leadership skills and safety awareness. The participants undergoing training as TOTs and MTs will further play an important role in delivering this capability at the respective levels. This will strengthen efforts to increase participation of girls in schools and provide them leadership opportunities.
