Gold Rate Today in India: Gold and silver prices have fallen due to weak global cues. Regarding gold, prices have declined for the second consecutive day following a day of stability. Over these two days, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has dropped by ₹660, while 22-carat gold has become cheaper by ₹610. Today, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by ₹10, and 22-carat gold also declined by ₹10. Silver prices slip after four days of stability.

As for silver, its shine has dimmed today following four consecutive days of stable prices. Earlier, at the start of the month, the price of one kilogram of silver dropped by ₹5,000 on both September 1 and September 2, before rising by ₹5,000 on September 3. As for today, the price of one kilogram of silver in Delhi has dropped by ₹100, bringing it to ₹2,49,900. It is trading at the same rate in other major metros like Mumbai and Kolkata. However, in Chennai, the price stands at ₹2,54,900, making it the most expensive among the four major metropolitan cities.

What the experts say

Gaurav Garg, Head of Research at the brokerage platform Lemonn, notes that gold remains under pressure. US employment data has exceeded expectations, increasing the likelihood of an interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve in September. The market is now focused on the upcoming US PPI (Producer Price Index) and CPI (Consumer Price Index) data due this week. These figures could provide fresh signals regarding the US central bank's future interest rate policy
