Maruti Suzuki just launched the updated 2026 Baleno facelift in the market. Maruti Suzuki launched the new Baleno at a starting price of Rs 6.9 lakh, ex-showroom, and it comes with a bunch of feature upgrades and cosmetic changes. As we all know, Toyota and Suzuki are in a partnership, and soon after the launch of the Baleno, Toyota will be launching its version of the Baleno, the Glanza, in the market. The hatchback is likely to be launched in October 2026, and here is what we expect to see in the Glanza facelift when it is launched.

The Toyota Glanza is already on sale, and we know that Toyota makes minor cosmetic changes to the exterior to give the hatchback a distinct identity. In this case, we expect a similar approach to be followed.

The Baleno facelift comes with a heavily revised front grille. The front grille has grown in size, and we see three chrome strips running across the width of the grille. The brand logo has moved up onto the bonnet, and we see gloss-black elements in the grille. We expect to see a different version of this grille on the Toyota Glanza. Toyota might not go for a loud front end but might continue to offer some of the other elements.

The headlamp design on the hatchback stays the same, with LED DRLs and turn indicators. The hatchback would also get an LED fog lamp setup. Apart from this, the overall design of the hatchback will stay the same as the outgoing model. The Toyota Glanza will get the same 16-inch wheels, LED tail lamps, and the same rear bumper as the current version.

What the Glanza would lack in terms of looks or exterior changes will be compensated for with the features. To start with, the 2026 Glanza will be offered with Level 2 ADAS features. The Baleno is the first hatchback in the segment to get this feature, and the Glanza would be the next model to get it. Just like the Baleno, the Glanza would also come with Level 2 ADAS features such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Automatic High Beam Assist. Toyota is also expected to offer a physical button to turn the ADAS features on and off as per user convenience.

Apart from Level 2 ADAS, Toyota will be offering the Glanza with front-seat ventilation, UV-cut glass, a wireless phone charger, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, HUD, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, ABS with EBD, and so on.

The engine on the Glanza is going to be the next big change. The K12N series, 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder NA petrol engine on the Glanza will be replaced with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder NA petrol Z12E series engine. This engine generates 81 bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque. This is the same engine that debuted with the Swift last year. This engine is offered with a manual and AMT gearbox option.

In the Baleno, Maruti is offering the AMT option with the CNG variant which is expected to get launched in 2027, and we expect to see the same in the Toyota Glanza too. The new engine is tuned for city use, and the brand claims that it offers better low-end torque. With all these changes in place, it needs to be seen whether Toyota will launch the hatchback in limited variants and offer it at a price higher than the current version or not.
