A major security scare unfolded at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on Tuesday, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to attend an event.

According to police, two individuals were detained at the venue. One of them, a 24‑year‑old man, allegedly claimed to be an official from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). He was accompanied by another person who identified himself as his bodyguard and was found carrying a gun.

The incident raised alarm among security agencies, given the high‑profile nature of the programme. Police immediately detained both individuals and recovered the firearm. Investigations are underway to verify their identities, motives, and how they managed to enter the premises.

Authorities have assured that security arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit remain intact and that strict measures are being taken to prevent any breach.
