New Delhi. 20 MPs from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) community of the Congress Party have reached the Parliament Street Police Station to lodge 'Zero FIR'. Let us inform that this case is to the incident of untouchability that happened with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Haldwani on August 10, 2026, which is a punishable offense under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

While sharing the video, the Congress party wrote that even after two hours of persuasion, the SHO refused to register zero FIR and give written reason for it. The party wrote that if SC/ST MPs are being treated like this, then just imagine what would be the condition of an ordinary SC/ST citizen trying to lodge an FIR against an atrocity?
