As for silver, its shine has dimmed today following five consecutive days of price stability. Earlier this month, on September 1 and 2, the price of one kilogram of silver dropped by ₹5,000 on each day, before rising by ₹5,000 on September 3. As for today's rates, the price of one kilogram of silver in Delhi has dropped by ₹100, bringing it to ₹2,49,900. It is trading at the same price in other major metros like Mumbai and Kolkata. However, in Chennai, the price stands at ₹2,54,900, making it the most expensive among the four major metropolitan cities.

Gaurav Garg, Head of Research at the brokerage platform Lemonn, states that the market is keeping a close watch on the upcoming US data releases for the PPI (Producer Price Index) and CPI (Consumer Price Index) this week. The PPI figures are scheduled for release on Thursday, followed by the CPI data on Friday. According to Garg, these figures could provide fresh indications regarding the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy committee meeting in September and potential decisions concerning interest rates.
