In fact, on August 10, SP MP Neeraj Maurya had written a letter to the Minister of Petroleum and Gas Ministry. In this he had written that, I want to attract the refill booking time period of domestic LPG cylinders in the rural areas of the country including my parliamentary constituency Amla (Bareilly).
He had written in his letter that, under the current rules, the time limit for second booking at rural gas agencies is 45 days. When all other rules of gas distribution are the same for both urban and rural areas, this discrimination in booking period is not justified. Due to this long gap, rural consumers are facing great difficulties.
The SP MP further wrote, you are requested to remove this discrepancy and keep the booking period of both urban and rural areas the same and please reduce the booking time of rural areas from 45 days to 25 days.
