There is great news for young people aspiring to secure a government job in the medical sector. Recruitment for Staff Nurse positions is underway at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida. The initial application deadline of September 7 has now been extended to October 7, 2026.
Consequently, eligible candidates who were unable to fill out the form by the original deadline can now apply online by the extended date.

**Eligibility and Criteria**
To apply for the Staff Nurse positions, candidates must hold a 4-year B.Sc. degree or a 2-year B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) diploma from an institution recognized by the State Medical Faculty or the Indian Nursing Council. Alternatively, candidates must possess a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma registered with the United Provinces Nurses and Midwives Council, along with two years of work experience in a registered hospital.
Additionally, candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of July 1, 2026. Age relaxation in the upper limit will be provided to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Backward Classes (OBC) as per regulations.

**Application Fee**
Candidates belonging to the Unreserved, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹1,298, while candidates from SC and ST categories must pay ₹944. Candidates with disabilities (Divyang) can fill out the application form free of charge.

**Steps to Fill the Application Form**
To apply, first visit **gims.ac.in/recruitment** and click on the application link for the Staff Nurse recruitment.
Next, click on "Click here" next to "New Registration."
Complete the registration by entering the required details.
After registration, click on the option next to "Already Registered? To Login."
Now, fill in the remaining necessary details to complete the form.
Pay the fee according to your category and submit the form. Take a printout and keep it safe for future reference.

Selection Process
To be selected for this recruitment, candidates must appear for a Computer-Based Examination (CBT). The CBT will be conducted for a total of 100 marks. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. A total of 100 positions are to be filled through this recruitment process.
